If you’re getting either spam messages from the “Tumblr Staff…”1.) Change your profile theme (this is to get rid of the fake pop-up window that appears to other visitors to your blog.)
- If you don’t want to change it to something else permanently, just change it to something random then change it back to the one you had.
- If you don’t change your theme, any visitors to your blog who input their logon info into the pop-up window will start spamming messages as well.
2.) CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!
- This will prevent posting spam on your blog without your knowledge.
3.) If you see a pop-up window asking to input your logon info or “verify to see adult content,” DON’T DO IT.
- It’s spam.
See this? This is fake. If this pops up on somebody’s blog, dont “log in”
Yes, the links around the login form actually link to tumblr, but this hacks your account and posts that “free starbucks” post over and over
